Now be honest how often do you clean your make up brushes?? Can you even remember the last time you washed them? you should be doing it every 2 weeks really. Think of all the dead skin cells, dust and make up residue left on them...HELLO BACTERIA! Bacteria on your face is going to cause you breakouts and irritation. Plus if you're like me and have invested in decent ones you are going to run them by not washing them!
I must admit I don't wash my own brushes enough but I always wash my kit brushes after every client. Anyone that has lived with me knows the laborious task I have of washing 10+brushes and then there's the drying time...eek! So I'm going to invest in a StylPro. Check it out, what a nifty invention. It washes and dries your brushes in less that a minute. If you're thinking 'No way Jose am I going to spend £49.99 on a brush cleaner', then I'd recommend washing your brushes in baby shampoo.
1. Squeeze a 5p sized amount of shampoo into the palm of your hand with some water
2. Lather up in your hand with the brush in circular motions
3, Rinse in lukewalm water
4. Repeat if necessary
5, Squeeze the water from your brush and dry flat. Ensure the end hangs off the edge of the table so the hair doesn't dry in a funny shape
